Office Visits
Our greatest goal at Hamilton Orthodontics is to give you a healthy, straight, beautiful smile. We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel. Our team will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as rewarding as possible.
New Patients
Every smile starts with an initial complimentary new patient exam. Your initial new patient exam appointment will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs.
Once you book your complimentary orthodontic examination appointment we will send you a link to complete a health history form to submit to our office ahead of the scheduled appointment.
If you have orthodontic coverage, please check the details of your plan before your appointment, as this will help streamline the process. We’ll also provide a pre-determination for you to forward to your insurance company to ensure everything is in order.
During your initial exam we will:
- Review the patient’s dental and medical history forms
- Gather clinical photos, xrays and scans to assist the doctors in determining the ideal orthodontic approach
- Provide a complete oral exam to determine if treatment is necessary
Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you.
Ready For Treatment?
When you’re ready to start treatment, we assign a dedicated Treatment Coordinator (TC) to guide you through the process. They will provide you with the fees for orthodontic treatment, offer an interest-free payment plan and complete a pre-determination form for you to forward your insurance company. Additionally, they will assist you in scheduling your appointments at a time that works best for you. Your treatment coordinator is here to ensure a seamless and positive experience every step of the way!
Appointments
You will receive appointment reminders by email, text, and/or phone
To help us stay on schedule we ask that you arrive for your appointment five to ten minutes early.
Teeth should be brushed and flossed prior to the appointment.
When you arrive for your appointment, please check-in with an upstairs receptionist; alternatively, you can call the office to announce your arrival.
Once the appointment is complete we will schedule the next appointment via phone or in person and provide any updates regarding treatment.
Visiting The Dentist During Orthodontic Treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every three to six months during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is necessary, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you receive the care you need.
