Our greatest goal at Hamilton Orthodontics is to give you a healthy, straight, beautiful smile. We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel. Our team will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as rewarding as possible.
Emergency Visits:
We ask that you call the office for all emergency visits so we can assess and schedule the appropriate appointment for you. In order to help our office stay on schedule walk-in emergency patients will be assessed and an appointment arranged based on openings available in our schedule and may not be possible for the same day; this helps our office stay on-time.
Every smile starts with an initial complimentary new patient exam
Your initial new patient exam appointment will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your initial exam we will:
- Review the patient's dental and medical history forms
- Gather clinical photos, xrays and scans to assist the doctors in determining the ideal orthodontic approach
- Provide a complete oral exam to determine if treatment is necessary
Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you. Please contact our practice to schedule your complimentary new patient exam appointment.
What happens after the initial exam?
You're one step closer to achieving the smile you've always wanted! After your exam we will schedule the appropriate follow-up appointments. Occasionaly, a second appointment is needed to discuss, in detail, the customized treatment plan best suited to treat your orthodontic condition, schedule appointments to start treatment, discuss financial fees and formalize a payment plan and insurance claim submissions.

Visiting the Dentist during Orthodontic Treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every three to six months during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is necessary, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you receive the care you need.
